Juice Cleanse is not the Answer

Happy mid January everyone! Before I get into it, its worth mentioning that I deliberated over this post and hence it’s a day late (sorry!). Secondly, its a topic which I could’ve tackled several different ways but in the end I just focussed on what I cared about and what will be of more value to you.

With that said, let me start things off by noting we’re already nineteen days into the year and I hope everyone is keeping up with their goals (and not the Kardashians). Sweet Potato Veggie Burger

What is Pushing for Health?

I started pushingforhealth because I want to be as strong as I physically can but in a sustainable way thats good to my body on the inside. This blog is an account of my fitness journey, the challenges I face, the knowledge I pick up, and the food I eat.

I also have a personal goal to inspire anyone who’s ever used the ‘by the time I leave work I’m exhausted’ argument to avoid reaching their true potential.  It’s something I hear all too often and it makes me sad to see people give up on themselves so easily.  I work in Finance which entails both long hours and mental focus, yet I still do what I do and know first hand that you can look and perform like a pro even when you’re working a 9 to 5.

As a starting point, what I can tell you is this: Attitude trumps everything. We all have our share of problems, distractions, jobs and families but you have to forge forward.  Attitude means you can choose to accept a circumstance or you can choose to change it.

And on that note, I thank you for taking the time to read this, and I welcome you to join me on the journey to Push for Health!
